I thought they played a solid game. Good on he PP and better on the PK. Defense did a good job neutralizing Datsyuk and Zetterberg, which is no easy task.

I was fine with the Abdlekater hit, it wasn't malicious. Just looked like two guys going for the loose puck in a scrum, Abdlekater just saw it earlier and had time to brace for contact.

I'll take it with a grain of salt since it was the wings' third game in four nights.

Third line looks solid without the Yeti. Great setup by Smith on Caron's goal.

Putting Z down low with Krüg bombing away at the point ain't fair.

As soon as I put him on my bench he'll score a hat trick and two assists, go +5 and rack up 10 PIM's. Book it.

Don't get me wrong it was a good game. But as pointed out, this was a tired team. I know we will be the tired team at points this season, then we will see what we have. Detroit will look better as they get used to the division. And yes, zero problem with the hit.
It's hard to get too excited this early but I do love the 2 points.

It's less than a week into the season, if the Wings are tired now, they're (frank)ed.

True enough, was thinking about second game of back to back. I guess this early in the season it shouldn't be as big a deal.

The 'Atlantic' Division is disgusting this year. I like how the playoffs are old school - you have to get out of your division first 2 rounds. Going to make the rivalries amazing again.

Whether the Wings were tired or not... still have to give the Bruins credit for playing a complete excellent all-around game. I'm still getting to know these Eastern conf. teams and their styles. Looking forward to the next Wings / Bruins game. Nyquist and Tatar will soon push a couple of the old, slow veterans (READ: Samuelsson, Bertuzzi) back to the bench... and that will bring the Wing's offense back up to speed. I think the Wings will look better next game (they better).

I can already tell the Bruins fans on Hockeybuzz are smarter and classier than the rude, arrogant and snotty Blackhawk fans. I'm sure you've had a taste of their narrow-minded and homer attitude. Heck.. just go on J.J.'s blog and DARE to say anything even remotely critical of the Hawks...

Wings are a hell of a team and scare the crap out of me. Loved watching the 2 teams go toe to toe, loved that it was L1 vs L1, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, and let the players bang it out. Wings will win their fair share this year against the B's and am pumped to see a playoff match up, 2 elite teams that have very different approaches, brains vs brawn so to speak.

Biggest bunch of (frank)ing babies going. Say anything critical and forget it you'll break their feelings. A little ribbing between post season matchups? Forget it. The water works go on full blast. Some of them are all hopped on up on Chomsky so they're super intelligent too. bumholes... and that includes Jeackel. Welcome to the Atlantic this is going to be fun.

Last year was a little too hectic on my liver, but I see your point. I could see less games and a shorter regular season.
